Private English tutor
About me
My ambition is to boost children’s interest and confidence in using English through fun learning activities. As an English major student, I had strived to enhance my language proficiency and gain education-related experiences. I taught mainly P1-3 local students either in big classes or small groups. Now I can conduct lessons for young learners of different ages, levels and interests. If you are looking for a primary tutor, it is worth some minutes to see what I could help.

We discussed how to connect effectively with and inspire students to challenge themselves. We discussed the need for teachers to serve as a role-model who wants to master subject matter and apply it to life’s challenges. Listening to her commitment to education and hunger to become the best possible teacher, is why I am writing.

Portfolio
In my years of tutoring, I had designed numerous sets of learning materials for primary school students. The key principle is to put language into daily contexts, keep track of learners’ understanding, and ensure collective learning.

Some examples are:
(Page 1) This lesson strengthens P3-5 students’ reading, listening and speaking skills through teaching a bread pizza recipe in an interesting and creative way. It supports contextualised language learning by reflecting the daily cooking procedures.
(Page 2) This lesson strengthens P3-5 students’ reading, listening and speaking skills through teaching a bread pizza recipe in an interesting and creative way. It supports contextualised language learning by reflecting the daily cooking procedures.
This is a revision exercise of vocabulary and grammar (wh-questions and frequency adverbs) learnt since P3. It tests learners’ skills in reading comprehension.
