About me

My ambition is to boost children’s interest and confidence in using English through fun learning activities. As an English major student, I had strived to enhance my language proficiency and gain education-related experiences. I taught mainly P1-3 local students either in big classes or small groups. Now I can conduct lessons for young learners of different ages, levels and interests. If you are looking for a primary tutor, it is worth some minutes to see what I could help.

Why me?

Efficient

With my hands-on teaching experience, knowledge of TESOL design and high English proficiency, I am confident to teach productively with tailor-made learning materials.

Caring

I see education as a key to one’s mental and interpersonal growth. I am not only a tutor, but a supportive companion who cares about learners’ everyday experiences and emotional needs.

Encouraging

I believe learning should never be dull and stressful. I cherish self-motivated learning through fun activities and peer interactions.

Collaborative

In all my work and voluntary services, I valued close teamwork, group unity and mutual trust. I am ready to work and communicate effectively with parents, tutors and other co-workers.

Hello! I'm Ling.

I am a private English tutor from Hong Kong.

Since 2012, I have been working as a temporary English tutor in private learning centres, public schools and non-governmental organisations.

I aim for a career where my linguistic knowledge, teaching experience and enthusiasm in education will help to provide quality English programmes for local primary students.

Through voluntary services and on-site part-time tutoring, I am devoted to assisting and motivating English learning especially for learners with a weak foundation. My involvement in administration enables me to consider all stakeholders in the education sector.

Reference by supervisor:

We discussed how to connect effectively with and inspire students to challenge themselves. We discussed the need for teachers to serve as a role-model who wants to master subject matter and apply it to life’s challenges. Listening to her commitment to education and hunger to become the best possible teacher, is why I am writing.
